Documentary Storytellers (formerly Documentary Photography Review) was set up by Chris King – a documentary and portrait photographer and video producer, with the aim of providing a place for documentary photographers and filmmakers of all levels the means to showcase their work – sharing unreported and under-reported stories from across the globe, overlooked and often considered not to be ‘newsworthy’ by mainstream publications.

Any profits from Documentary Storytellers goes to support Documenting Climate Change – a second initiative started by Chris with the aim of creating and promoting a greater diversity of stories on the issue of climate change – the causes, the impacts, the mitigation efforts and the adaption efforts – and a focus on human-centric stories local to storytellers, as well as sstories that have a solutions-focus.
